Angelo Pilli

I am a painter and sculptor born in 1950. I started painting in my youth while growing up in the Veneto countryside. I then furthered my education through art schools in Venice and frequent study trips to museums, galleries and foundations all over Europe.

We are all bound to the conditions of survival by our social organism, a collective body that has recently grown out of all proportion to form a super-organism, energetic, belligerent, conflictual and invasive with devastating effects on the planet. My art, in all this paradigm of conflictuality, seeks to convey a ray of colour. This instinct stems from a deep inner expressive value dictated by the hope for tolerant mutations. The language in these works represents a series of magical anthropomorphic figures generated by the melody of human history.
