Brandon Goldman

A interest in the relationship of man to nature has led me to a career in cartography and ultimately urban planning.Born in the desert in 1969 I have lived primarily in the western United States and currently reside in Ashland Oregon.My art is an investigation into man made landscapes and the natural world that I can better understand through images than through words.Through my photography I aim to express a unique perception of the environment, or more precisely of the symbolic nature of our relationship to our surroundings.The pure aesthetic beauty of the the physical environment, as people seldom experience it, is reflected in the explorations of my "macro photography". I am particularly fascinated with the minute details of nature, and the everyday objects that go unnoticed, the realm of macro photography is one way to truly enjoy a perspective that is new and exciting
