Olivera Protic

Upon graduation of my studies, I worked as a set and costume designer in over 70 realized TV shows and videos. I was engaged in fashion design for five years and in the last couple of years I am working as a professor of artistic modeling and painting in several Belgrade high schools. From the mid 90’s my paintings have passed through several phases, all connected with motifs of faith, religion and inner turbulence fueled by unending line of questions. Even today I am working on educating myself further and perfecting my art along with implementing new experiences and techniques, while remaining recognizable to those who follow my work. I draw my inspiration from my family, specificly from the most beaudiful feelings it brings: love, faith, happines, and feeling of belonging. I am a member of the “Association of Applied Arts Artist and Designers of Serbia”(ULUPUDS) since 2005; a member at the artistic council of the academy association “Vizantija” and at the “Association of film and TV artistic associates of Serbia”.

Author of ten independent art exhibitions and have participated in numerous group exhibitions; some of them stand out: World Quadrennial of set art and costume in Prague (1987), the exhibition of Belgrade’s mini art scene at the Belgrade art gallery “ Singidunum” , “Small Format” and “ Traditional-Modern” at the graphic section of ULUPUDS , international biennial of small icon (2003) “St.Stefan” etc.
