Phalguni Rs

Phalguni is a contemporary Indian artist born and raised in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, and currently based in Bangalore, India. Her artistic practice is deeply influenced by the women she has observed since childhood, their quiet strength, grace, emotional depth, and the unspoken stories they carry within. She also draws inspiration from people, human behavior, and the reflective thoughts that arise from closely observing life around her.

Working primarily with acrylic on canvas and wood, Phalguni is drawn to the medium for its versatility and expressive possibilities, despite its challenges. Alongside acrylics, she also enjoys using charcoal and colored pencils, as they allow for a more intimate, tactile connection with the artwork, almost like creating with her own hands rather than tools.

A self-taught artist, Phalguni has developed her practice through continuous observation and self-learning. She is especially inspired by watching other artists and artisans at work, learning from their processes and techniques through quiet study rather than formal training.

In 2025, Phalguni participated in the online exhibition “Boundless” organized by Exhibizone.
In 2026, Phalguni participated in group exhibition "Mindscape" organised by Kaladhara Art Gallery in New Delhi, India, showcased her artworks from 2024 and 2025.
