I would like to introduce myself as a passionate artist originally from India, but lived most of my life in the United Arab Emirates.

My works are largely influenced by artists who painted and reflected realism; like Rembrandt and the renowned Indian prince/ artist, Raja Ravi Varma.

My works are mostly a combination of soft blends and minimal flicks of the palette knife by which I try to bring about the depth and emotions in my creations. Of late, I has been experiencing with mixed media as well as various other contemporary art forms. My favourite subjects are “nature” and the “everyday people” around me whose expressions, the life in their eyes and the stories in their wrinkles all give me great pleasure as I try to capture them in my paintings.

I have a Bachelor in Architecture and am working full-time as a senior Project Architect in the Technical department of an Architectural Consultancy.

Though I would say my art is mostly self-taught, I have had several mentors - artists, teachers and friends who I look up to - grateful to all of them for instilling in me the love for painting and giving me the confidence to go on.

This year (2018), I exhibited my works for the very first time, by participating in the 4th edition of the International painting exhibition, World Art Dubai 2018, held in Dubai. It was an amazing experience for me, especially as a first-timer - where I was able to meet 100s of art lovers, buyers, art enthusiasts, artists from across the world, art collectors - everyday for 4 days. I did 2 sessions of Live Painting based on the theme "Children of Syria" by which I voiced out my protest and concern for the little ones in the war-tormented land of Syria. I got a lot of positive feedback on my Wall as well as was able to sell one of my works.
