I paint but I don't use brushes. That goes against normal right? Well, so does art and the definition of art. I use palette knives to paint my pieces. By doing so, I am honing a craft in an abnormal way and showing you art through the strokes, drags, and curves of my palette knife instead of a brush.
It took years for me to discover that this was my preferred method of painting and being self-taught, I went through a lot of trial and error. Since discovering this method, I would prefer to paint in no other way. There is just something about the thickness of the paint and the texture after it has been slathered onto a canvas. It feels right to me.
I hope when you look at my paintings, it feels right to you too.
