ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Sometimes art is ephemeral: it is just temporary, like butterflies...or donuts. I felt the need to make donuts permanent, after seeing their brilliant colors and anticipating their sweet flavors. After all, you can't 'keep' a donut. The next best thing is to steal one, paint it, then get rid of the evidence. I am hoping people will look at this piece and be reminded of good things, lazy Saturday mornings, or a treat after a hard bike ride. It is a sweet without repercussions.
