About The Artwork

Handmade collage , I studied illustration and animation, I liked Disney especially. I was amazed to know that Disney got inspiration in ballet. Starting working with the collage techniques, I realized that the mosaic approach allows me to create an illustration in movement. You can find up to four transits in some of my works. I like to take inspiration in the actions of athletes and dancers. The human brain firstly read a shape. Identifying different parts, our brain tends to create one silhouette. Connecting several silhouettes, we see static animation

About Visual Artist Works with video art, collages, photography and painting. Sasha studied illustration, design and drawing in British Higher School of Art and Design. She born in Kiev, grew up in Russia, emigrated to South Africa , then moving to Dubai ,UAE and exhibited works at WAD (World Art Dubai). Artist Statement: When I studied illustration and animation, I liked Disney animation especially. Connecting several silhouettes, we see static animation. Collage requires imagination, analysis and gives ample space for creativity. This is a bit of a game with the observer's brain. My influences include Picasso, Matisse , Knave Of Diamonds (was a Russian group of avant-garde artist) and other influences in visual media include masters in film and photography, both contemporary and classical. At the same time I do not limit myself to techniques and expressive means, I am attracted by both oil pastels, acrylics and photography. I believe that an artist may have no framework, just having stages of development of his visual language.
