ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This expressive abstract/collage on canvas is part of a series I did when experimenting with colour when poured using a limited palette. My process includes selecting a limited number of colours, pouring them on the canvas and waiting to see the outcome. The results are always surprising but the real work comes with the embellishment I add to the coloured canvas. In this case I had some glass pieces, Japanese Washi papers, acrylic coloured pens and ink. The total effect was dramatic and eye catching. When looking at the piece more closely, the viewer can see the texture I added to the surface. The style is abstract and expressionistic.
