Miray Michel (b. 2000) is a self-taught Egyptian artist born in Cairo and raised in Hurghada, where she currently resides. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, majoring in Public Relations and Advertising, with a minor in Graphic Design. She began expanding her practice in 2024, developing a body of work centering on collage, mixed media, and installation art, drawn to their limitless possibilities for deconstruction and reconstruction, narratives and interpretations through visual materials. Her work functions as an ongoing dialogue and a form of resistance. Through layered compositions of found imagery and diverse materials, she investigates memory, vulnerability, and emotional perception, shaped by personal questions, reflections, and challenges that consume her, as well as her relationship with her surroundings and lived experiences.
