"Looking back" is an abstract work composed of collage images showing a refugee camp framed by images from the sea. Hi, I am a Norwegian artist who lives in Oslo with my husband and son. I started making and studying art at an early age and have been active as an artist since 1993. I have had several decorating assignments and my work is acquisitions of public and private companies. From the period -04 to -20 I was affiliated with Hvervenbukta art center with artist-subsidized studio space from the Ministry of Culture in Norway. My studio is at kunstKALL art center together with 4 other full-time artists. Why I make art: I strive to see the world outside my own bubble to make my art valuable to others. I prefer to work on a theme-based basis over longer periods so that I can go deeper into the work. In recent years, I have especially delved into the topics; relationships, mental health and environmental issues. I tell about my impressions, thoughts and relationships through art. It can be deep or hurtful expressions. Provocative, humorous, sensual or dreamy and surreal. The expression is an reflection of observations from the world around me.
