After studying at the Estienne Paris school, Erwan Soyer has been developing since 2010 a collage work inspired by surrealist poetry crossing multiple fields, themes and techniques. Using books that are used or intended to be thrown away after digitization, he questions the end of paper as a writing medium. He explores a technique of folds inspired by baroque art and geomorphology, working the paper material in a raw and organic way. A relationship between the materials used and the production environment serves as a starting point. All creations are handmade and assembled with bookbinding and bookmaking techniques on wood panels.
