ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My latest series ‘Down the Color Hole’ is an exploration into color and the concept of multiple dimensions. I use embroidery thread on images of old books and magazines to create the visual illusion of a new vantage point - a glitch in space and time from which the image seems to explode or implode, depending on how you look at it.

Natalie Ciccoricco is a Dutch mixed media artist, living in California. After moving to the United States in 2012, Natalie started making mixed media collages and illustrations inspired by her new surroundings. Natalie's mixed media collages are all original, analog works that consist of found images and embroidery thread, which she uses to weave together new narratives on paper. Natalie loves to experiment with different materials and re-use old images and paper. In doing so, it is her hope to bring new life to these materials, so they can be enjoyed and appreciated once again. For her artworks, she draws inspiration from her dreams, nature, arts, literature and her travels. Natalie has shown art in juried shows at various renowned galleries, such as the Yosemite National Park Museum Gallery, the Bedford Gallery in Walnut Creek, STUDIO Gallery in San Francisco and La Luz de Jesus in L.A. In 2019, she debuted her solo show 'Down the Color Hole' at Zukowski Collective.
