Commandant RoSWeLL is the artistic identity of French artist and researcher Quentin Delanghe, based in Caen, France. His work moves between drawing, objects, installation, writing, archives, and documented fiction. Through Art Social Symbolique and Roman plastique, he explores the symbols, gestures, objects, and narratives through which groups create belonging, transmit knowledge, and negotiate hierarchy. His practice draws in particular on student traditions, educational rites, vernacular imagery, and the unstable boundary between historical document and invention. Under the name Quentin Delanghe, he conducts research on educational rituals and student cultures. This research informs his artistic work while remaining distinct from it: one studies sources and structures; the other transforms them into visual and narrative forms.
