About The Artwork
This is one of my many upcycled mixmedia paintings done in a collage style. I enjoy the meditative quality of working with tiny little squares of paper and plastic that fall through my fingers and evade my efforts to glue them down. Each little element has a life of its own and they take so many hours, days and weeks to get completed to a satisfactory level for me. There is a reflective quality in the original. * I imagine a forest scene here as if from a vantage point hovering above looking down over the treetops and the beauty that can be discovered when one is truly with the nature that surrounds all of us.
