About The Artwork
"The Naptime Plan" is based on the chaos surrounding the violionist and my father in law Trung Đào's plans to make sure his first grandchild napped everyday in Hanoi. It was a very elaborate ordeal to convince the then one and a half year old that the time to sleep is now. Using newspaper clippings solely about life saving events, photos of the most beautiful ladies in the world (my daughter and wife), behr dynasty paint, and an old poster about the book "On the Road," this piece is about reluctantly leaving the endless motion of the world in order to nap.
