About The Artwork
I've always enjoyed experimenting with color, shapes and materials. In this piece I have emulated the style of Piet Mondrian from the 20's and 30's. Known for using basic colors, geometric design in minimalist patterns. I decided to take it a step further giving the piece a 3-D effect by cutting and coloring thick plexiglass pieces and assembling them on a canvas board with acrylic paint. Sometimes I have incorporated found objects as in this piece.
