ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work is a digital study for a 3D object that incorporated ideas from electric polywire with tail-paint colours. These are agricultural products which are used to control and manage animals. The controlling grid structure is hexagonal which has its origin in cages and chemical structures from animal insecticides and pesticides. Imbedded in my art is the question as to how abstract art can form a dialogue with animal-rights issues. Solace and pleasure are dueling emotions that often playout in the formal qualities of my art.
