This is my fictional working American Jesus. His Mexican grandfather was named Jesus and he was named after him. Jesus would tell you that you don't need to believe in a religion or follow some conman evangelist or someone who preaches hate, you know I'm talking about those who give you false promises or takes your hard earned dollar to buy a jet. Start by being good to the people you love and move that to total strangers. Who knows you might learn to love yourself too and then love everything beautiful in this world. You just have to open your heart to see it. Now you might say it's not easy to see that if your house was repossessed and I'm not going to pretend that life is easy but there is even a beauty in surviving that. I know, because when I was ten we lost everything and had to live in our car. We moved from place to place and my parents did work that just came up. I learnt to be a mechanic and if your car is broken down I bring a happy smile when you see me and my truck get to you. For this work I was inspired by Magnum photographers such as Martin Parr who takes images of ordinary people in a documentary form as well as Annie Leibovitz who would stage her subjects. American Jesus in this case is however is not a real person nor a model, he is a digital creation and not based on anyone in real life.

I'm a British Iranian who lives in Switzerland. I started my Artistic life with photography and Drama. Later on I started to paint and make sculptures. I also started to write short stories. I like storytelling in the form of fictional characters that have a backstory. If you see the work there is a story for each of these invented characters. For many years I used my Art for Human rights awareness. I invented a new style called DaGod which was an offshoot of Dada but with protest against religious dogma. I'm in the middle of uploading my work so what you see here is a very small set.
