ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The image represents a fusion between an abstract drawing and a photograph of the Colosseum in Rome. The shape of the amphitheater is reproduced several times through multiple superimpositions that want to evoke the transformation that the building has undergone over time and through the artist's gaze. The shapes and colors that surround the building like a vortex recall the emotions that the building arouses in the soul of those who observe it.

It's not easy to talk about art, especially if it's your own. My name is Sara, I'm an artist, photographer, and art teacher. When I look back on my life, I can say with certainty that art has been my greatest passion since I was a child. As a child, I spent my days painting and drawing and when they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I replied: draw! In writing this short presentation, I asked myself several times what to write. How can I explain my art? How can I make those who visit my site feel my same emotions? How can I convey my thoughts and the profound meaning of my poetics to him? I cannot! Art is something intimate and changeable, which changes and transforms continuously because it is linked to the personality of whoever creates it and who observes it. Each work of art can show different aspects to anyone who observes it since it never manifests itself but reveals the soul of those who contemplate it. In this sense, I find inspiration for my works mainly from my dreams and from the Jungian concept of archetype, but also from the emotions that the places I visit arouse in me. The basic idea of my works consists in providing a different point of view on the external reality of things and, at the same time, a point of contact with everyone's inner world.
