Originally from New York, I discovered the camera as an art form at the age of 9, with the gift of a "Brownie." I was an Interior Decorator for many years before devoting myself to the lens and all things that affected it. I was born loving color and the way light plays with it. Why can't a palm tree be purple? I use only filters & lenses - no computer alteration at all in my abstract photographic work. Lately have been dabbling in "Digital Painting" but my true love remains Abstract Photography. Inspiration comes from a drop of rain or the bark on a tree to clouds, landscapes and everything in between. My recent work takes my abstract photography one step further by adding pastel and post production; the results being what I call "Contemporary Impressionism." I have always loved the work of Manet, Monet and Cezanne and try to "capture" that feeling in my art.
