Buffalo Traditional Dancer Print - Limited Edition of 100

Pow Wows are a celebration of life, social gathering, and honoring of the various cultures, traditions, beliefs, and heritage of Indigenous people from different tribes. This portrait is of a Buffalo Traditional Dancer. His regalia is hand made from regalia passed down from family members, other traditional dancers, and personal items, with authentic eagle feathers. The clothing and other items are beaded, like the moccasins. At this Pow Wow, I was fortunate to capture this Traditional dancer in mid-step during the Grand Entry of the Social Gathering. These traditional dances are complicated and very enhancing to watch. They move by the beat of the drum and the singers who sing traditional songs, especially for these events.
