ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired again, in heroes and legends of my region. I create a portrait of a legendary renegade, Called Jacinto Canek, a Yucatecan Maya who rebeled against the oppression of the tyrants in order to liberate their people and search for justice. He was a martyr for this cause, who sadly had a tragic end, but inspired others to take the fight for freedom, becoming an icon of liberty. I'm heavily influenced by media that portraits the spirit of fight and bravery of individuals, that don't get shame in the use of violence in order to reflect the strength and the superhuman will, that is capable of taking down even the most powerful oppressors. The ideal of strength made flesh. I again, honor the indomitable will of the fight spirit in his portrait.
