About The Artwork
This piece was created with the idea of fashion, form and the excitement of the body. I wanted to convey style, connection and personality within creating fashion. I typically work on am iPad which enables me to use a myriad of brushes and to work in a fashion that allows for instinctual motion throughout my process. The ability to change colors, strokes and reactions in the moment is the only way I have found where I can be as a free as I need to be during the creation of my art.

Hello, my name is Christa Howard My first experience as an artist was thought the world of dance. My biggest influence, my mother, who was a professional dancer and college professor led me down the path of self expression at the age of 4. I discovered a different avenue to create through the lens of a camera and went on to study Fine Art at Chapman University in Orange, California. It was here that I further expanded on my knowledge of life drawing, abstract painting and design. My background as a professional dancer and my study of art merged to create the technical and improvisational style that make up my body of work.
