(): Lemon Print - Limited Edition of 10

The works of lemon are part of the promotion for my exhibition on April 29th 2022. It is an installation for multi sensory experiment that revolves around the object and the presence of the viewer, discussing the awareness of "gender". The title of this work can be read as: “Please adopt the lemon as 'algebra' to 'calculate' what you see.” This operation has both a perceptual and an ideological dimension, corresponding to two sets of installations that are both interrelated and contradictory. What is the answer of ♂ and ♀ ? How can one equals to the other? I used 8 lemon formulae with operation report to explain: (the ♀ and ♂ symbols are used as examples of generalized groups in the operation) 1. A lemon 2. ♀= ?lemon 3. ♂ = ?lemon 4. ♂ ∩ ♀ = ?lemon 5. ♀ ∪ ♂= ?lemon 6. ♂ + ♀ = ?lemon 7. ♀ + ♂= ?lemon 8. ♀/♂ X ♀/♂= ? We define a new abstract algebra structure for lemon. Assume lemon is even. We have two groups, which are two sets. Set of all sets that do not contain themselves, cannot exist. This structure doesn’t have additive commutative property. The results of changing the order of the operands are not the same. If and only if, one is multiplied by the other, the result is us.
