ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Introducing "Shades of Softness," a lost, captivating Foto Dono artwork that has undergone a journey of rediscovery. Created initially with vibrant gesture pastel strokes, this piece was tucked away among forgotten depths of my closet for decades between two old paintings. Unfortunately, time had not been kind to the original, with bits and pieces torn to shreds. I'm sorry to say the original was beyond repair. She sat back in the closet for so long because I thought I had done a horrible job with her then and never finished it. I was showing what was left to one of my co-workers; she felt the piece had the making of something engaging. Armed with a newfound appreciation for her, I restored her with a few upgrades and now called her "Shades of Softness." I am offering only 100 prints on exquisite Hahnemühle FineArt Etching paper. It's a 17"x 22" sheet with an image size of 20"x 13.5." Each one will be signed and numbered by me. After that, I'll let her rest. You can also order open editions on Saatchi here - not signed or numbered. You can order a canvas or fine-art print versions here.
