About The Artwork

This digital collage is based on a piece by my favorite painter, William Adolphe Bouguereau. The intention is to bring this girl to more recent times, Only Fans or Instagram pages of girls who generate income using the beauty of their bodies, gave rise to this interpretation, the surreal touch is that the bathtub is full of flowers. Times change, no doubt. aesthetics as well, so the contrast in this collage is more evident due to the circumferences and voluptuousness of the protagonist, coming from a time when curvilinear bodies were considered not only more aesthetic, but also a sign of wealth. Today, the stylization of a body is synonymous with beauty. But always, a naked female body will always lead to a cold shower!

Saatchi Art NFT artist #SaatchiArtNFTArtist My name is José Luis Guerrero.I was born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México.I went to the Escuela de Artes Plásticas (School of Visual Arts)at the University of Guadalajara to study Advertising. That helped me find amazing jobs as a graphic designer and creative director for many agencies in Guadalajara and in Mexico City. Basically, my pieces can be defined as collages, mixtures of artworks from various epochs that I decontextualize and vandalize.By doing this, they can have a very different meaning from the original one; sometimes they even symbolize an opposite sense. These collages are based on the premise that one can“gather two known ideas to get a new one. ”My objective is to re signify an artwork by creating a playful visual effect, and at the same time to send critical messages about controversial issues.
