ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I've always loved the work of Rita Angus and have strived to create a series of digital artworks to pay homage to her style. The braided rivers of Waitaki are beautiful, alive, and constantly shifting in their shape as the blue waters make their way from the Southern Alps near Mount Cook, through the Waitaki valley down to the Pacific Ocean. The circular shape of the artwork mirrors the feel of a 'little planet' projection commonly seen in 360-degree imagery. Please note this is a round image, unfortunately, this website will not allow me to upload an image showing its true shape. Printed onto aluminum this artwork will be with you for a lifetime.
