SHIPPING AND RETURNS

This piece of cocktail artwork has been inspired by my personal favourite drink - the espresso martini. I wanted to depict it in a simple fashion, with a modern and contemporary style. I also added the combination of ingredients underneath that I feel make the perfect version of the drink!

As a young man (over 40 years ago!) I was employed as a design draughtsman, producing engineering drawings for the automotive industry. In those days, each piece of work was produced on tracing paper using H or HB pencils. I took great pride in creating my drawings - looking on them more as a piece of art, rather than a medium just to manufacture car parts. In my spare time I would sketch and enjoyed drawing cartoons. I also started to dabble with acrylic paints and attempted, with some minor success, painting on canvas boards or frames. My influences were - and still are - the modern contemporary artists, such as Warhol, Lichtenstein, Escher, and more recently Banksy. Ultimately, the introduction of CAD systems for producing drawings completely revolutionised the manufacturing industry, removing the need for pencil and paper. Much similar to how digital art software has made the need for paint unnecessary and opened up a whole new world of possibilities. Now at the age of 65, l have decided to embrace this exciting new technology to create a range of artwork that reflects my old passions and methods in a modern 21st century style!
