ABOUT THE ARTWORK

“The Memory” is a visual journey through complex emotions, memories, and reflections on relationships after parting with close and significant people. The choice of collage and abstraction as means of expression highlights the fragmented nature of these emotions. Flying objects, reminiscent of white birds or sheets of paper, create a sense of movement and transformation. They symbolize thoughts and feelings, as well as the lightness and freedom that can arise after experiencing and accepting the situation. This work is an attempt to explore the complex psychological states that a person faces while undergoing periods of change and self-discovery.

Today my art is driven by the desire to find harmony between the living and the inanimate, between the artist (in the broad sense of the word) and what he created. I am drawn to the elusive connection between a person and objects that shape his tastes and preferences or, conversely, cause discomfort. The main object of my art is a person and his environment; I strive to convey an image at the moment of dialogue with myself: at the moment of the most sincere, immediate and exciting emotions. Exploring the connection between a person’s internal state and what surrounds him, I rely on my experience in architectural and urban planning: we are in many ways a “product” of the environment, while each of us, in turn, is able to influence the situation around us. I want to draw attention to the importance of a balance between consumption and creative activity, to inspire creativity and creativity in everyone who resonates with this topic. Sometimes my ideas are born not at the sketching stage, but directly in the process of working on paper or canvas, evolving and transforming as the project develops. Such works are especially valuable.
