Awakening from a nightmare thrusts the mind into a disorienting realm, where the lingering tendrils of fear and unease clutch at waking consciousness. Heartbeats race, and breaths are shallow, a stark contrast to the nightmare's suffocating grip. Reality filters back, but remnants of the dream's emotional landscape linger – a haunting echo of imagined horrors. Adrenaline-fueled pulses slowly subside, replaced by a fragile sense of relief. Eyes search the environment, seeking solace in the familiar contours of the room. Rationality tries to reassert itself, battling the residual whispers of terror. Slowly, the mind regains its footing, bridging the gap between nightmare and the fragile dawn of a new day.

I am Luxembourg-born scientific illustrator and artist living in Hanover, Germany. For a couple of decades I was a copywriter for Honeywell Bull, Nokia and Siemens. Then I slowly slipped into computer graphics. I specialized in illustrating molecules and fullerenes for a long time. In 1988 I received a recognition of the Prix Ars Electronica for my graphic "Funnel". In 2023 I started doing AI illustrations. I live together with my partner Elke Leger, my favorite photo subject, and a turtle named George.
