ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Standing tall and resolute against the ever-changing backdrop of the vast ocean, the lighthouse is a beacon of hope and safety for sailors and wanderers alike. Its white facade gleams brilliantly in the sunlight, a stark contrast to the deep blue expanse that stretches beyond. Waves crash against the rugged coastline, their frothy crests reaching out to touch the base of the lighthouse. Seabirds glide effortlessly on the salty breeze, their graceful wings a testament to the freedom of the open sea. As day turns to night, the lighthouse's powerful beam emerges, cutting through the darkness with unwavering purpose. It sweeps across the inky waters, guiding ships safely through treacherous waters and offering a glimmer of solace to those navigating the unknown. In the presence of this coastal sentinel, one cannot help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. The lighthouse stands as a symbol of resilience, its enduring presence a reminder of humanity's capacity to conquer the untamed forces of nature. In the quietude of this seaside scene, one can almost hear the haunting melody of the ocean, a timeless and eternal song that has serenaded the earth for millennia

Valentyna Rybkina was born in 1977. After graduating from National University with a Master's in Politology and Sociology, she started to oil paint in 2013 as a self-taught artist influenced by great artists like Aivazovsky. She invites you to remember with her paintings the sunny and happy places you may have visited or plan to visit again, to see how beautiful nature is. She hopes you can look at the colors of her painting, enjoy them, relax, and forget about your problems. Life is good ;) She is especially interested in oil landscapes (ocean and seascape) and has always been passionate about flowers - these are the main thematic focus of all her works.
