ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by the everyday things like makeup and the pretty colors that are used to create lip gloss, and my experiences with coffee and the almost indelible marking it can leave behind. This work is the 3rd work in The Sonder Collection, it is composed of various elements to keep the observer entertained and engaged within its color and texture balance. As noted in the previous works, part of the appeal of the collection is the desire to interact with the canvas, or even if in print media, it was my desire to create in the observer the desire to feel the variations in texture, even if it is an imagined experience of the sensations.

Born in Methuen Massachusetts of Puerto Rican parents in 1970, and uprooted every few years for my Father's Religious Evangelism work was not an easy start, but it is what fostered in me the need for fantasy through my imagination. I recall my Mother sitting me in front of the TV to watch Bob Ross, and I'd become entranced as I watched him paint " pretty little trees", as his voice calmed my young soul. I guess I have always known I'd grow into my identity as an artist even though it took me 4 decades and countless academic and career pursuits. I have also traveled extensively around the World, to arrive in the area of the Pacific Northwest, specifically, Portland, Oregon during the Winter of 2016, to begin my adventure into the art world.
