About The Artwork

Graphic drawing, 50cm (W) x 70cm (H) on the 300g Canson Paper. The artist begins by employing a series of dynamics, intertwining lines and curves, which form the central structure of the sheaf of hay. These lines are neither rigid nor perfectly uniform, lending the work an air of spontaneity and natural movement. The sheaf's core seems to be a whirlwind of chaotic energy, suggesting the vitality of nature. The "hay" is rendered through an intricate play of textures and shapes. The artist utilizes various hatching and cross-hatching techniques to create a sense of depth and volume, giving the sheaf a tactile quality that invites the viewer to touch it, even though the work is two-dimensional. The hatching lines vary in their spacing and direction, producing a gradient of light and shadow across the sheaf's surface.

After having migrated, Galina tries to support artists who have a similar experience. In June 2023, Galina organized "Art Weekend 1.0", the first experimental event in Podgorica for Russian-speaking artists. Artist Statement In my artworks, I address the topics of human interaction and digital space, the influence of social networks, the impact of advertising content and digital context on a person, the transformation of a person's lifestyle as a result of these relationships, the shift of priorities. When I creating my artworks, I use different mediums, but I give the main role to digital art. My love for digital media is due to my many years of experience as a graphic designer and a digital illustrator. My experience as a graphic designer and many years of experience in creating advertising graphics have shown me how it is possible to influence people's consciousness and behavior with digital content. I am trying to understand the significance of this influence, how much such influence changes modern life, how necessary it is, how much it can be managed. I am looking for answers to these questions through my artworks.
