I am the author of the Golden Calabash series, a collection of African fairytales and folklore for children, which I was inspired to write to preserve oral African folktales. All my latest artwork is inspired by parts of a story in the series. In my work I explore expressions of hope, longing, abundance, joy, and nature using varied forms of media, mostly acrylic and inks.
