This is a drawing not photography!!! Title: Agbo Faaji (enjoyment galore) Size: 36 by 30 inches Medium: Graphite and Charcoal on Bristol paper Reference crdt : Write up: Life is not as hard as we take it; sometimes all we need is a good whiff of air to calm our raging nerves and Àyángalú's beats to get our feet into motion. We can sway together, you and I, to the serenade of our fathers “the àlùjó that engenders fuji and àpàlà, and waka and jùjú, and all the genres” that make our souls sail into the world our minds take us in concert with the music. See the mud walls, they're the marks of posterity, calling us to walk in our father's steps while adorning ourselves with the laced regalia of the Yorùbá race. Come, Àdùnní, let's sway to this drummer's beat. Life is not that hard when you have the chance to listen to the master drummer make magic.

Nigeria
Born in 1996, Olamide Ogunade is a graduate of Fine Art at the Yaba College of Technology, from Ogun State, based in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, and happenings in his society, Olamide creates works that promote the understanding of black identity. His oeuvre cuts across various mediums including ballpoint pen, acrylic and oil paint, charcoal, and pencil. Even though his fascination with art began when he was a little child, Ogunade’s artistic development over the years can be traced to his rigorous training, research, and practice. His creation process takes a lot of time as it requires patience and persistence making a mere shading come to life and almost impossible to believe it was created by hand. There is great coherence in the work of Olamide Ogunade , which is expressed essentially through the art of portraiture. As a leitmotiv that would come somewhat shaken up by reality, bubbles constantly surround the characters to whom the artist gives a lot of strength and distinction. The mixture of techniques, too, greatly enriches the texture of his large scale works. Olamide has participated in several exhibitions including Stop, Listen at the CFHILL gallery, Sweden, Afrika First at the Valerius gallery, Luxembourg, and won the Tecno Art challenge 2020. By late 2020, His works began to be collected officially by art collectors from different countries. His works also has good sales record at the Artcurial Auction in France 2022.
