Anne with an E holds a special place in my heart as one of my all time favorite shows. The story is so deep and meaningful and allows you to grow with the main character, Anne, seeing life through her eyes. I wanted to make something to honor her character with flowers that hold meaning as her mother was later revealed to have a book called The Language of Flowers. I had read that all of these flowers I used, poppies, begonias, hollyhock and gladiolus all represented different parts of her character like ambition, loyalty, creativity, imagination, friendship and other traits. This was made using alcohol markers, colored pencils, gel pens and some sparkling ink on tan toned mixed media paper from Strathmore at 9 x 12 inches.

Hello, I am Autumn Smith or otherwise known as Amber-rose. I have been making art since I could pick up a crayon, and have made it a goal to grow in both style and skill. My techniques are always changing, adapting and so is my talent. I very much enjoy drawing flowers, skulls, portraits, figures and occasionally landscapes. I dabble in painting but focus mainly on alcohol marker art.
