I was born in 1980 in beautiful and historic city of Gdansk - Oliwa, Poland. There I grew up and was educated in arts.  In 2004 I graduated from Visual Arts Department at the State Arts School in Gdynia - Orlowo. Currently I live and work on the sunny island of Malta. I specialize in pencil drawings in various formats. Goal I pursue doing arts is creation of my own reality, my main ispiration are my dreams filled with surreal visions of abndoned realities . In my drawings, my main subjects, architecture and landscape, are subjectively transformed and cleansed from any human presence. The oneiric scenery, where only some mysterious creatures dwell, oozes silence, emptiness and abandonment. The absence of strong lights or contrasting shadows create a foggy and desolated reality, taken from the world of dreams and inspired by the colourlessness of the night itself. That desired look is obtained by using solely greys and blacks. The strong baroque influence in Maltese monumental architecture has had significant impact on the creative process. Monotonous structures, executed only in stone, yet rich in detailed decorative forms, challenge to search for a different vibration of lines and thus to offer various ways of interpretation the shapes and meanings. Im sharing my journey to this worlds with the viewer. My creative process is a searching for a vision. Changing the concept, adding new layers covering the old ones fertiles the ending structure. It`s a time consuming journey in searching for the vison itself in form of a multilayered vibrating and grainy structure. Time frame for creating one piece is about a week.
