Jim Fetter was born in Munich Germany in 1955. I have been painting in watercolors since 1976, and painted hundreds of portraits for people all over the world. I have worn many hats in the field of art, like Logo Creation, Magazine Illustration, Product illustration, T-Shirt Design, and Portrait Painting. In 1995 I illustrated over 200 black and white pen and ink drawings for the Sobriety Training Institute in Portland, Oregon, for a children's drug prevention program that is now used in 25 states to help kids understand what drugs are, and how to avoid them. My work was showcased on the PBS television art auction "America's top 100 artists" in March 2003. " Watercolors to me , is like painting with stained glass" because of the watercolors transparency they I can paint one color over another to change the hue of color just like stained glass. My paintings are bright, colorful and strong, and that's the way I paint. I want my paintings to reach out and grab you as you walk by, and I think they do, just that.....
