This was the first piece of biro art I started - but not the first one I finished! This is because the elephant's leg to AGES to complete! I'm always amazed at what can be done with a humble bic biro, but also just how long the pens last! Have you ever run out of ink in a bic biro?! I think people usually lose them before they run out. Anyway, I always use the same single pen for a drawing, so that it can be given to a buyer along with the original art. It also shows me how much ink is used for each piece - this one used just under half of the ink in a brand new biro! I love the balance of sizes in this composition (and the fact that I didn't need to draw the whole of the elephant - although I may tackle something large one day!) And I'm sure the only thing the mouse can be thinking is "These feet smell cheesy!" Would you have chosen something different? Let me know! I'm very pleased with this piece, and it has a special place in my heart as the first one I started. As always, this piece was produced with a single Bic biro (ballpoint pen) and the actual pen used will be shipped along with the original art! Note - the image shown is 8x10 inches of artwork - the actual card 'canvas size' has a 1 inch white border. Hence the physical item is 10x12 inches, with the artwork fitting in an 8x10 aperture - hope that makes sense! The image will be signed in UV ink and will be 3d embossed in the lower right corner with the Biro Guy official logo for authenticity (see the additional images - the embossed logo example is to the right of the wax seal). Hence, being UV and 3d relief, neither of these features will affect the visual apperance of the artwork. Materials: - black Bic biro - orange Winsor & Newton ink - Strathmore 270gsm Bristol smooth surface card Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my artwork - and please do look at the others in my collection if you like this one. Have a great day! Ben (the Biro Guy)

Hi folks! I'm Ben - The Biro Guy. Hope you're doing well, and thanks for checking out my art. I produce all my artwork using a simple bic biro. I then add a splash of colour with ink. I love to produce art that makes people smile. Rather than something profund that prompts the viewer to sit ask serious questions and ponder the meaning of life, I prefer to produce pieces that make people think "Ha! I get that! Wowzers, that's some pretty awesome skills with a biro too!" I usually get my inspiration for ideas at random points in my daily life. I love to have nature in the pieces I draw - I am constantly amazed by the unbelievable variety of wildlife we have on this tiny planet. And humour is massively important to me and I try to weave it into everything I do. The world needs smiles. So I do hope you like my style and if you think my art would look nice on your wall, then even better. However, if I've made you smile even just once, then my job is already done! Have a great day! Ben, errrr, sorry, I mean The Biro Guy (my true identity is obviously top secret to keep my art super-desirable!)
