I am an inspiring, self-taught artist in a small town called Royal Leamigton Spa. I enjoy drawing realistic portraits in graphite and charcoal, and occasionally other mediums. But my enjoyment extends further than just portraits. I also like to draw animals from time to time when the opportunity arises. Realism is an artistic movement that I have always found fascinating because of the accuracy and sharpness used to portray subjects truthfully. I believe that is what makes my approach to drawing portraits different from that of other artists. My motivation to draw realistic portraits stems from peoples’ amazement that my portraits are hand-drawn. It is this opportunity to show others that the impossible is possible that fuels me to keep learning and improving. Recently, I have started to further explore my art through contemporary abstract art. I find the use of shapes and block colours to capture a true sense of my subjects is thought provoking while refreshing. I hope my profile gives you a brief insight about me.
