ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Title: Duality in Bloom I Medium: Graphite, Charcoal and Coloured pencils Size: 34 x 41 inches In this artwork, a mesmerizing female portrait emerges from a delicate tapestry of vibrant floral elements. The floral elements that surround the portrait serve as a metaphorical representation of the woman's complex psyche. On one side, we witness the blossoming of radiant blooms, vibrant and full of life. These flowers exude an air of confidence, embodying traits such as strength, assertiveness, and extroversion. They represent the outgoing persona, the side of her that embraces the world with open arms. In contrast, on the other side of the portrait, we encounter a different realm. Here, we witness the presence of more subtle, delicate woman, accustomed, adept and familiar with the ways of the world as it is, harsh and difficult for survival. The juxtaposition of these two floral realms captures the dichotomy within the woman's being. It hints at the constant interplay and delicate balance between these contrasting aspects of her character.

Hi! I'm Arun, an artist from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Art was always something that excited me since my school days. 5 years back I discovered the captivating world of Charcoal Art and I have been doing hyperrealistic art ever since. My preferred mediums are charcoal and graphite but I also like to do color pencil drawing once in a while. I am currently pursuing my degree in fine arts. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I am open to feedbacks on improving my drawings further. I also love to socialise with fellow artists and enthusiasts. You can get in touch with me using my social media accounts, or check out the contact information which is available on my Saatchi Art Profile
