Richard Hart, acclaimed pencil artist Richard Hart was a child prodigy enrolled into an advanced, adult-only, art institute at the age of 8. The talent was there but the dedication was thwarted by Hart’s obsession with sports. So much so that after graduating with a fine arts degree he put the art supplies down to pursue a lengthy career in the sports industry ranging from publishing to motorsports. Now employed by esteemed artist Troy Lee of Troy Lee Designs, Hart became inspired by his work surroundings and began drawing again in 2021. At first Hart drew childhood sports heros and images he was interested in not realizing the gravity of his talent until others quickly acknowledged. It became apparent this was a new way to participate in the sports industry that initially pulled him away. It was also the beginning of his professional art career. Large format drawings Hart is collected by art patrons around the world and is well known for his photo realistic images on large scale paper. Richard’s visual interpretation of people and pets are unparalleled in his custom art. He has developed and perfected a signature technique many graphite aficionados follow. Prominent work Richard Hart has created the illusion of being an overnight success due to the short time period he has produced content. In reality he is able to complete exemplary work amazingly fast. That combined with his obsessive-workaholic artistry ethic. Highlights include; Kid Ory commission for Hamilton Ory placed in the Ory House Jazz Museum Louisiana Rusty Hibbs commission for the Moto Museum in Michigan Original art for Troy Lee’s Justin Barcia collection casual wear Original art on display at Troy Lee Designs HQ in Corona, CA Original art presented to musician Phil X Hart at home Richard is married to professional artist Lara Hart and they enjoy spending time together creating art.
