It just so happens that Hey Joe is also the title of one of the song Jimi Hendrix is known for recording and performing. “Oddly his biographers report that as a young boy in school, Jimi displayed special talent in art, but had no early interest in music. In the Hendrix biography “Room Full of Mirrors,” Charles R. Cross reports that as a third grader in 1951, Jimi would draw pictures of automobiles in his school notebooks and by the time he was 12 years old, although not a good student, showed promise in art."
