I value the gestural mark, the traces of the human hand in artwork, imperfection and pieces that seek to involve the viewer, requiring them to complete the piece before them. My themes vary widely, wherever my soul, or my nose, takes me. My work is always starts with sketches and studies. I enjoy working with a subject and exploring it repeatedly in multiple pieces that vary in scale and media as a way of challenging my own perception and preconceived notions.
