About The Artwork
Inspired by my love for the ocean, this artwork shows how the sea at night can become passive or sometimes violent. While we are fast asleep fishermen are at sea catching what they can to make a living and supply us with fresh fish. The warm light radiating from inside the vessel highlights the surrounding darkness. The lighthouse guides them from crashing onto the rocks when returning to harbor. I chose ink as my main tool, then digitally enhanced the artwork to add light where needed.
