My heart has been beating for stories since my childhood - they accompany me in books, poems, pictures, comics and films. I was particularly fascinated by the illustrated world of fairy tales. In these imaginative tales with animals, plants, people, mythical creatures and ghosts, anything seemed possible. These stories ignited my imagination and never ceased to amaze me. To this day, I encounter such stories when I wander through the woods or walk through nature. In the mysterious interplay of light and shadow between bushes and leaves, exciting scenes with the most diverse protagonists unfold in my imagination. Just like back then, these stories are lively and varied - and eventually find their way onto paper or canvas. Each work tells its very own story and invites the viewer to discover it in a personal way. For me, 1989 not only marked the fall of the Berlin Wall, but also a turning point for my future. I travelled through Europe and America, which had a lasting impact on me and ultimately led to my vocation: working as a freelance painter and graphic artist. I have been a member of the Berufsverband Bildender Künstler*innen Berlin e.V. since 2017 and was able to realise an art scholarship as an artist in residence in Rhineland-Palatinate in 2019.My works have since found their place in collections and private collections in Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the USA and Japan.
