I have a tradition in my country to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8th. This tradition is continueing after the collapse of the USSR. On this day, all men give flowers to their ladies and organize some pleasant surprises. It is remarkable that this celebration is in the spring, when nature awakens from hibernation after winter and the soul begins to ask for a holiday. And just this bouquet was a gift on March 8th. It inspires romance, tenderness and lightness!

Searching for my own path in painting took me a certain time. It has passed nine years since my first attempts to paint. However, during last several years I have started feeling self-assured, as my works reached desired level of skilfulness and artistic approach, and I really started liking them. Currently my love to post-impressionist artists' paintings became especially strong. I am often inspired by the works of Vincent van Gogh, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Edouard Vuillard, Albert Marquet, and Latvian artist Janis Valters. Most of all I value coloristic beauty of their works as well as the artists’ ability to show the weather conditions and the state of the nature with one brush stroke. Now I look into the future with greater confidence, think over new creative plans, and expect fulfilling them!
