ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Ink on paper, matted, 16 x 20" The major focus of my work has been figures, from realistic to stylized and in multiple mediums. I am drawn to the serendipitous use of the figure in a blind manner, it has broken me out of years of looking at the figure in a more traditional manner. In this series, blind contour drawings are created from a live model, spurring me to look at the intersecting lines and shapes of spaces to find patterns. The juxtaposition of line and shape is the intrigue of the work for me.
