ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Longing to be present is caused by distance; subject and object are in separate places. Intimacy causes people to fantasize about what they miss. For a mother, children are the most intimate human beings in her heart. A universal vision of the purest human connection. This artwork does not include a frame. The painter suggests installing it using a white frame, mat board with 4" on each side, and glass for a beautiful display result. Material : Paper Medium : Pencil Size : 55 W x 65 H cm

Tatang B.Sp. is an Indonesian artist who started as a professional artist twenty years ago. Born in Tegal, Central Java, and has lived in Bali since 1986. He studied at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Udayana University, Denpasar, Bali, from 1986 to 1992. Actively exhibiting throughout Indonesia, he has earned a number of awards and was among the top ten winners in the 1998 Philip Morris Indonesia Art Awards 1998. He is a self-taught artist who recently used the surrealist method in his artwork. Surrealism refers to the idea of an independent reality existing "underside" our conscious reality. A method that combines logic with the irrational, dream with reality to create a fictional reality; a reality that is different from pure reality. Tatang presents a poetic mood in most of his paintings as an expression of soul, thought, and emotion. AWARDS 1998 The Top Ten Winners in the Phillip Morris Indonesia Art Awards V. 1999 Finalist The Windsor and Newton Competition Indonesia. MUSEUM COLLECTION 2008 Artwork with the title of “Borderless” is collected by the Switzerland Lausanne Olympics Museum.
